Scrap World's "Scrap and the City" Competition

Check out the new competition we are holding!

To enter and participate in Scrap World’s "Scrap and the City” contest, you MUST be a member of the site and you need to sign up in the sign up thread by 6pm Sunday October 8th.

The competition will have 8 rounds starting October 8 and finishing December 3^rd, you have 7 days to complete the challenges, the first Challenge will be posted at 8pm October 8th

Each Sunday a New Challenge will be posted, you must have your completed layout uploaded by 8pm each Sunday night. Failure to upload the challenge layout by the posted deadlines will result in disqualification.

The Design Team will choose the Contestants that will continue to the next round and their decision is final, the number of contestant’s evicted from the competition each week will depend on the entries received.

All work submitted for Scrap and the City must be new and original and created for this competition. The layouts may not be shown on any other Scrapbooking site or online Blog.

Scrap World reserves the right to use the layouts for promotional purposes during the competition .

All images must be clear and a list of products used accompany the image.

Our weekly challenges incorporate certain Brands/Products that you must use, these brands/products will be at a special discount rate of 5% off the RRP which you can find in our specials section. Please note you do NOT have to have purchased or purchase the products from us, this is just an incentive!

The winner of Scrap World’s “Scrap and the City” Contestant will win a Product Pack to the Value of $100, this pack will include Basic Grey, Heidi Swapp, Melissa Frances, Plain Janes Chipboard, Scenic Route, a copy of the New Autumn Leaves Designing with Colour Book and more! You will also receive a Guest DT spot for a month and their layouts featured on the Scrap World home page!

Runner up will receive a product pack to the value of $25

The challenges will be posted on the following dates -

Challenge 1 - Sunday October 8th
Challenge 2 - Sunday October 15th
Challenge 3 - Sunday October 22nd
Challenge 4 – Sunday October 29th
Challenge 5 - Sunday November 5th
Challenge 6 - Sunday November 12th
Challenge 7 – Sunday November 17th
Challenge 8 - Sunday November 26^th

With the final challenge to be uploaded by 8pm Sunday 3^rd December and the Winner announced Monday 4^th December

New Design Team

So the applications for our Design Team were amazing!!

It was really difficult to pick 3 out of all of them, which is why I ended up picking 4 LOL!

So here they are, Kelley Forrester, Kellie Hayes, Jane Butler and Jo Carey!

I am excited to have them as part of my team and cant wait to see what will happen in the future! Thanks girls!

Sneak Peaks @ Green Apple Collections...

Our Man TOBY...

So as much as I was happy about Lukas winning Rockstar Supernova, this also left me sad that our Australian representative TOBY RAND missed out.

Toby was what I would call a TRUE AUSSIE, funny, easy going, beer drinking, loyal friend who seemed to be get along with practically everyone in the house!

I am happy that Lukas and Toby are staying at Tommy Lees Mansion while Tommy is touring with his old band Motley Crue and that he has organised his band to go over to the US and they are going to record his original song next week, followed by another single and then the album to hopefully have finished by the end of the year!
That is one CD that I will definitley be buying!

So here is a tribute to our boy TOBY RAND...

CONGRATULATIONS to the new lead singer of SUPERNOVA

I love this guy, he rocks, he is hot as hell and one great performer!!!!

I do feel for our man TOBY RAND, he came in at third place but should have been 2nd if not 1st! I cant wait until he brings out a CD...Astralia LOVES you TOBY!!!

A Productive Few Days...Finally

Today the kids have tired themselves out, jumping on the trampoline and playing outside, the weather was so nice, the dog even got a bath much to his dismay!

Finally I have been able to get some layouts done....I have been stumped and hadnt been able to do anything for a couple of weeks so here they are and I am really happy with them.

This first one is Chloe and Myself, Basic Grey Papers, Heidi Flowers and Chipboard, Fuzzy Rub Ons and Stamp, I am so in love with Heidi Products!!

This is for a competition, I love the UL papers and am really happy with how it turned out! Chip Chatter Alphas and Ribbons Galore Ribbon.

This one I did today with LilyKate Basic Grey Papers, some Lil Davis Crillon Letters and BG Rub Ons.

All the new Heidi Stuff has come in and is so good! You can check them out HERE!!!

We have some great stuff coming in soon, SEI Papers, We R Memory Keepers, Plain Janes Chipboard and more will keep you updated the closer they are!

Fathers Day

Inspired by Elsie Flannigan, I attempted an altered tin for my husband for Fathers Day.

The Tin and Papers are KI Memories which I am going to have to get in the store they are so yummy! Assorted Buttons and some funny photos of our family!

He got a laugh out of it and really liked it so it was all worth while!

Site back up and Running :)

All is back to normal with the site, all images restored thanks the heavens!!! LOL

The first one is using the new Fancy Pants Papers Wildheart and Free Spirit, the second is my interpretation of the very talented Roz James's latest class at Scrap Needs and the third is Chloe and her cousin Bridget after getting in a little bit of mischief (spelling?) Look at those cheeky faces LOL! The papers are the new Scenic Route Hampton
